About Picli
1. What is Picli?
Picli revolves around a constantly changing gallery of quality creative content, created and edited by its users without editorial control. The main page features 2 galleries - the Showcase gallery and the Upcoming gallery.
The Upcoming gallery contains work that has been recently submitted to the website. Users can view these images and vote on which images they like. Picli then automatically works out which are the most popular images at any given time and promotes these into the Showcase gallery.

2. Who runs Picli?
Picli is run from London by Sam Street and Sean Miller (at the moment) from a combination of pubs, internet cafes and bedrooms.

3. When did Picli launch?
A very early version of Picli (private beta) was launched on March 29th 2007. Picli came out of beta exactly 2 years later on March 29th 2009.
4. How can I follow Picli's updates?
You can visit our staff blog at http://blog.picli.com.
We're also on twitter @piclistaff.
5. What happened during the dark age?
Picli is no multi million pound corporation with 70 employees. It's just the two of us.
When we first launched the site it was a bit of an experiment, - would the idea work? Despite some negative early press, it clearly did and still does.
However, being in our early 20s - we made some mistakes as whilst moving the island we accidently skipped through 2008.
After a user mutiny and some bottles of absinthe we decided to get back to work. Picli has the potential to be great, at the start of 2009 we decided to get back to work. Now the record is spinning again and things are certainly looking positive.
We'd like to thank the users who stuck around during this time. Their passion for photography and the ideals that the site is built on really kicked us into gear. We have thanked many of these users on our Thanks page.
